About us
The Association of Women in the Marine Industry was established in 2013 by a group of women responding to the need of a platform for networking, collaboration and empowerment of women in the industry. It is our goal to make women more visible both within the industry as well as outside of it and ultimately to engage more women to chose the Marine Industry for their line of work.
Our work year spans from September to May. During the year we organize visits to companies within the fishing industry where the goal is to network, learn and increase our understanding of the Marine Industry and the variety of companies and organizations within it. We wrap our year up with an Annual Spring Trip which is by far the highlight of our yearly events. The intent of this annual trip is to strenghten our relationships while learning and widening our horizon.
